Jordan Eberle honoured at jersey ceremony by Regina Pats

Hockey star Jordan Eberle was honoured by his former team, the Regina Pats, who retired his jersey Wednesday night.

He was a key player for the Pats from 2006 to 2010 and wore number 7.

Eberle is now with the NHL Edmonton Oilers and said his return visit to Regina brought back many fond memories, although his perspective on the Pats' locker room has changed.

"It was funny, I walked in and I remember the room being a lot bigger," he said with a laugh. "It's not as big as I remember it. I think maybe just because I've been in Edmonton's room for a while."

Eberle was the Pats' leading scorer for three of his seasons with the team.

The ceremony in Regina on Wednesday night drew an appreciative crowd to the Pats game, many of whom shared what they saw with pictures posted on their Twitter accounts.
