Alison Redford Christmas Greeting: Alberta Premier Offers Up Funny Christmas Greeting For 22 Minutes (VIDEO)

WATCH: Alison Redford's Unusually Funny Christmas Toast

Alberta Premier Alison Redford has a special (and very funny) Christmas greeting for all of Canada.

Posted to her official Facebook page today, Redford shared a clip from the upcoming This Hour Has 22 Minutes holiday special, in which she offers a tongue-in-cheek message from Alberta to the rest of the country.

In the 26 second video she raises her glass to the oil and gas industry, poking fun at criticisms the Alberta government is in bed with Big Oil.

"Christmas is my favourite time of year in Alberta.

Most people spend their time with family and friends. I choose to spend the bulk of my time the way I do the rest of the year - having a scotch with my friends from the oil and gas industry; talking about how to relax environmental regulations."

Looks like another mild winter. You're welcome, Canada."

The message has spread quickly around Facebook, garnering more than 100 shares and 75 likes in under two hours.

Facebook fans of the page are delighted to see the often-serious premier poke fun at herself and her province.

Brent Francis commented, "Fantastic! Love to see Premier's sense of humor shining through!"

David Smith echoed, "Well, she's got a sense of humour... Good for her!"

The holiday special will air Dec. 11.

The holiday special will air on Tuesday Dec. 11 from 8:00-9:00 p.m. (This Hour Has 22 Minutes regularly airs on CBC TV Tuesday nights at 8:30 p.m.) Catch more clips of the show on Facebook and Twitter.
