Brrrr! Do you feel that? That is the sound of December's chill knocking at your door.

Now, while some of us had no choice but to stay and open our doors to dropping temperatures and snow, some of Canada's travel bloggers decided to hightail it of here for warmer trails.

Speaking of warmth, that's the theme behind this week's round-up of travel photos from Canadian bloggers and writers. This week saw Canadian traveller Roohi Sahajpal head to the sandy shores on the island of Koh Tao in Thailand.

Leigh McAdam had a similar idea with a well-timed trip to Scottsdale, Arizona for sandy deserts instead of snowy Calgary roads. Though, the silver lining according to our colleagues in Alberta is that at least when it snows, it looks pretty.
