Tyson Baillie had the other goals for Kelowna (20-9-2), which got 29 saves from Jordan Cooke.
Collin Shirley replied for Kootenay (9-20-1). Wyatt Hofflin stopped 30 shots in defeat.
After Shirley gave the Ice the lead on the power play off a pass from Kyle O'Connor at 1:37 of the second, the Rockets scored two goals in 95 seconds in third period to turn the tide.
Baillie scored on a power play at 12:42 before Martin added the winner just over 1:30 later. Baillie then put the game out of reach 18:35 as the Rockets kicked off a five-game road trip with a victory.
The Ice open a four-game road trip against with a stop in Prince Albert on Friday.
