A fire at an apartment on West Lodge Avenue near Queen Street West and Lansdowne Avenue was quickly extinguished Wednesday evening, but not before three people were injured.
Two people — a woman in her 60s and a man in his 50s — were sent to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.
The woman suffered severe burns to her back and hands.
A man in his 70s was treated at the scene. He also suffered smoke inhalation.
Fire officials have not said what caused the fire which started in a first-floor apartment.
