LETHBRIDGE, Alta. - A 26-year-old southern Alberta man has been charged in a fire that started in the basement of a Lethbridge home.
City police say the fire broke out Thursday night.
One person at home at the time of the fire was treated in hospital and released.
Damage was pegged at more than $150,000, though firefighters were able to keep the fire from damaging any neighbouring homes.
Heinrich Friesen has been charged with arson as well as mischief and is to appear in court Monday.
Police say Friesen lived at the home that burned.
