Quebec provincial police find stolen cruiser

Officers with Quebec's provincial police are investigating the theft of one of their own cars.

Police were attending to a dispute at a home in L'Épiphanie, about 50 kilometres north of Montreal, at about 5 a.m. Saturday. While officers were in the home, police believe a 39-year-old man went outside and took off with the cruiser.

The Dodge Charger was found around 8 a.m. but police continue to look for the suspect.

Sgt. Daniel Thibaudeau said the man could not have had access to sensitive information using the police's system. He said there were no weapons in the vehicles.
