A chef whose disappearance has caught the attention of the country has been found outside Ontario. Jonathan Gushue, the head of the kitchen at Langdon Hall in Cambridge, Ontario, was found by police and reportedly doing fine.
"He's alive and well," Waterloo Regional Police spokesman Olaf Heinzel told the National Post.
Gushue lives in Waterloo with his wife and three children, and hadn't been in touch with his relatives since Dec. 30. Previous reports indicated that he spent New Years Eve in Toronto, but no one had heard from him since that time.
Expressions of concern were issued across the country, with many colleagues testifying to his passion for his job, and his wife telling The Star, he is βamazing, the most loving, honest, brilliant, warm, caring . . . genuine human being.β
Gushue had apparently had a similar disappearance a few years ago, but no details were released about the incident. Waterloo Police also said they will not be releasing any further information on this case.
