NHLPA ratifies labour agreement with league

The NHL players' assocation voted to approve a new collective bargaining agreement with the NHL, but the agreement isn't final until the two sides agree to a 'Memorandum of Understanding.'

Until that happens, the league will not release a schedule or allow teams to make trades.

In a release, the players' association says the two sides continue to work towards finalizing the memorandum.
