EDMONTON - Icy roads were a factor in a crash that sent an Edmonton policewoman to hospital.
The female officer, who was wearing a reflective vest, was leaning into the window of a vehicle that had been in an earlier collision on the Anthony Henday ring road near 111th Street on Monday.
Another vehicle lost control and slammed into the vehicle the officer was investigating.
The officer was thrown onto the hood of the oncoming vehicle.
She was treated for minor injuries.
There's no word on whether police will lay charges against the driver of the vehicle that caused the second collision.
