Traffic delays expected as major Ville-Marie construction begins

Some Montreal commuters will be facing longer delays for the next few months.

Transports Québec is warning Montrealers that traffic will be more congested than usual as major repairs on the Ville-Marie Expressway get underway.

Today construction began on the Highway 720, also known as the Ville-Marie Expressway, between the Turcot Interchange and the Atwater exit.

In order to allow construction crews access, Transports Québec has closed down one Eastbound lane.

The construction on that segment of the highway is expected to last for the next three and a half months.
