A 52-year-old man is dead after a house fire broke out Thursday morning in Revelstoke, B.C.
The RCMP say the home on Tillen Road was already engulfed in flames when fire crews arrived at 5:45 a.m. PT.
A 25-year-old woman, who lived in the home, escaped through a window. She told firefighters her father was still inside.
His body was found in the home after the fire was put out, RCMP Cst. Lesley Smith confirmed.
It's not yet clear what caused the fire. An investigation is ongoing and the B.C. Coroners service is not releasing the name of the victim at this time.
