It's been six years since Amazon launched its Kindle line of e-readers in the U.S., where it quickly came to dominate the market.

For those Canadians who wanted a piece of the Amazon action, things haven't been all that great. Until December, there was no Canadian version of the Amazon e-book store, and Kindle fans north of the border often found they could not order even the most popular bestsellers.

Those days are over -- to an extent. With the official launch of the Canadian Kindle store last month, and the official launch of the actual Kindle e-reader in Canada this month, many of the titles denied to Canadians are now available.

To be sure, Canadians can still expect the selection to be somewhat less than in the U.S. store, and e-book prices north of the border will continue to be higher. Here are 11 of the buzzworthy, bestselling books Canadians can now buy for the Kindle.
