Vancouver I Love You But ...

Vancouver, I Love You But ...

Vancouver may be the envy of the rest of the shivering country this week (OK, most of the year) but people who live there seem to have an uncanny ability to complain about one of the most livable cities in the world. So a special “ranter’s event” is happening on Friday night called, "I Love you Vancouver But..."

Comparing living in Vancouver to being in a relationship with a "beautiful and popular lover who irritates, wounds and drives you crazy," The Museum of Vancouver is advertising the event as a healthy way to get hurt feelings out.

From bad drivers and unpredictable cyclists, to bad architecture to the rain, oh the rain, Vancouverites are encouraged to vent their frustrations at the tongue-in-cheek event.

Notable Vancouverites will be get things started, including former mayor Sam Sullivan ranting on urban density, CBC radio host Stephen Quinn ranting on bylaws and author Kevin Chong ranting on the city’s racial segregation, reported The Vancouver Sun.

Friday’s event at the Museum of Vancouver has already sold out but you can share you rant with us here.

Come on, complete the sentence: "Vancouver I love you but..." in the comments below!
