Even though the official start of the B.C. election campaign is weeks away, the B.C. NDP have released a new 'positive' ad that's running in Liberal strongholds.
The ads featuring NDP Leader Adrian Dix will run on TV stations in Dawson Creek, Kamloops, Kelowna and Prince George, MLA and former party leader Carole James said, reported The Province.
In the commercial called "A Change For the Better," Dix says: "While the Liberal party relies on personal attacks, I plan to act on issues important to you and your family."
James told media the NDP ads focus on the issues of education, skills training and environmental protection, rather than the "personal attack" ads the Liberals have been running.
Last week, Premier Christy Clark appeared in an ad highlighting the B.C. Jobs Plan. Her government has been criticized for spending $15 million of taxpayers' money on an ad campaign.
