There are a million reasons to love this elegant Toronto wedding. There's the groom's chic bow tie, the soft pink bouquets, the bride's to-die-for Vera Wang gown and sparkly Louboutin flats. And then there's the stylish reception, held at Canoe, a restaurant that offers a panoramic view of the city. But what we love most about Van and Dana's wedding is that they made it a family affair by including their two (ridiculously adorable) children in the celebration. Real Wedding Toronto At Canoe Restaurant

From the Bride... "Van and I met through work, both of us were in the management consulting practice at Deloitte, though living very different lives in separate cities. We first chatted at a conference and while there was no immediate 'aha he's the one' moment -- in fact, I thought he was a bit ridiculous -- he gave me some very insightful life advice that resonated and spurred some significant changes at my end. We reconnected months later and the rest is clearly history--or just too long a story to tell!

Starting a family was important to us and so we were already pregnant with our son, Parker, when we got engaged. At this point we were living in Calgary for work and planning our wedding at home in Toronto. Finding a photographer was one of the very first things we did. We really wanted to find someone to capture all the special emotional moments in the day without having to spend a lot of time actually posing for photographs. Andreas' portfolio so beautifully illustrated his ability to capture natural intimacy. Once we met him, we knew his laid-back personality would fit perfectly into our family wedding with a 1-year-old running around.

Scroll forward a year to the fall of 2011 and we find out that we are pregnant again, with a little girl, due 6 weeks before our original wedding date in August. Truthfully, there was some full blown panic at my end. Luckily, while we had booked in the major wedding items, there was still enough time to change the date. So, we moved our wedding from the summer to October 2012 -- fully anticipating the chaos and flexibility that would be required to execute a wedding with our 17- and 3-month-old kids.

The day went off without any major hitches! Our wedding planning team at One Fine Day Events were fantastic and ensured that everything ran smoothly so that we could focus on enjoying every moment with our children and close friends and family. We had some 'predictable, unpredictable' moments with the children -- such as Parker wanting to be passed back and forth between us as we recited our vows -- but for us, these just made the day even more memorable."
