The government says the number of births registered in the province in 2012 was the highest in 22 years.
Don McMorris, minister responsible for the Information Services Corp., says 15,035 babies were born last year — the highest since 1991.
The previous high mark was 14,577 births registered in 2011.
For the fourth year in a row, the most popular name for baby girls was Emma, while Liam took the top spot for boys for the third straight time.
A growing economy has drawn more people to Saskatchewan, which saw its population reach an all-time high of 1,086,564 by October of last year.
