Michael Buble, 2013 Juno Awards Host: Super Bowl Ad Shows Singer In Bed With Avril Lavigne, Chad Kroeger

Michael Bublé Snuggles Up With Chavril.. For The Junos

The Super Bowl is famed for outrageous ads, but at least here in Canada, it doesn't gets much more outrageous than the Juno Awards spot with beloved crooner Michael Bublé lying in bed with Chavril (or Avril Lavigne and Nickelback's Chad Kroeger as they're known to the non-Twitterati).

Of course, that sort of CanCon corniness is the exact reason why Bublé is a perfect choice to host the 2013 Junos in Regina, Saskatchewan on April 21. Yes, the B.C.-born and raised singer has become one of Canada's biggest musical success stories ever. But the soon-to-be daddy has also always demonstrated a wicked sense of humour at the Juno Awards, whether charmingly accepting one of his 11 prizes (including Album of the Year in 2010 and 2012, the latter of which bested both Avril and Nickelback) or cracking dirty jokes to reporters backstage. (Let's just say it involved his Dorito's Fan Choice Award and why eating that orange snack is a bad idea while watching x-rated movies.)

Last year's host William Shatner bombed with a lot of critics so it's probably a good idea to return to having an artist host, which Drake did with such great aplomb back in 2011. Shania Twain and Alanis have also hosted the Canadian music award show in past years.

The 2013 Juno Awards air Sunday, April 21 on CTV from the Brandt Centre in Regina. Nominations will be announced on Feb. 19 and tickets go on sale Feb. 22.
