B.C. boy, 16, arrested in Saskatoon crack cocaine bust

Saskatoon police arrested a teenager at a bus station Wednesday who was allegedly in possession of more than 1,000 pieces of crack cocaine.

The 16-year-old was scheduled to appear in Youth Court Thursday on drug charges.

The youth, who is from Surrey, B.C., was arrested around 8 a.m. at the STC bus depot on 23rd St. E.

The drugs — orange and blue chunks of crack cocaine — were seized at the same time.

He had just arrived in Saskatoon by bus from B.C.

Police allege he's part of a large organized crime group.

The case is being investigated by the Saskatoon Integrated Drug Unit, which is made up of city police and RCMP members.
