The Murphy monologue isn't the only video concerning Duffy going viral on Friday.

A YouTube clip titled "The Eastern Bald Senator - Hinterland Who's Who" had been viewed more than 12,000 times as of Friday afternoon after an audio version was aired on CBC Radio's "As It Happens." They also posted the video on their Facebook page, where it has been racking up the shares.

The piece, reminiscent of another recent viral vid on Conservative MP Rob Anders, was created by Perry Williams.

On Friday, Duffy issued a statement saying he was "born and bred" in P.E.I. and that Canadians know he "would never do anything to betray the public trust." Duffy reiterated that he has a home in the province, as required by law, and stated that he will have no further comment on the issue until the audit is complete.
