Leafs' Mikhail Grabovski faces disciplinary hearing

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mikhail Grabovski will be asked to explain what happened during a scrum with the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night.

The NHL announced on its official website that the Belarusian forward will have a disciplinary hearing with the league's department of player safety on Sunday afternoon.

The league did not specify the exact reason for the hearing, but it comes in the aftermath of an alleged biting incident with Canadiens forward Max Pacioretty.

Tempers flared between the two squads midway through the third period of Toronto's 6-0 win, leading to an incident where Grabovski and Pacioretty were tangled up along the boards. Pacioretty claims this is when the Leaf bit him on the arm.

Both were handed 10-minute misconducts while Grabovski also earned a roughing minor.

Grabovski, 29, has three goals and two assists in 12 games but hasn't registered a point in his last seven contests. The 24-year-old Pacioretty has six assists in seven games.
