Driver dead in southern Alberta when car hits cattle liner, bursts into flame

COALDALE, Alta. - RCMP in southern Alberta say the driver of a car was killed when he ran a stop sign and hit a cattle liner.

Police say the car was dragged for 100 metres by the larger vehicle and burst into flames at an intersection south of Coaldale on Wednesday.

The cattle liner was empty.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the collision.

No names have been released.

Police are waiting for an autopsy and positive identification.
