22 Minutes Mocks EI Auditors, House Calls (VIDEO)

WATCH: 'I Don't Want To Be A Puppeteer!'

Civil servants across Canada are making unannounced visits to the homes of employment insurance recipients in an effort to crack down on fraudulent claims. These ‘integrity officers’ have even been trained to deal with confrontation in case things get out of hand.

But what about those on the receiving end of those controversial house calls?

“22 Minutes” makes light of that the issue on Tuesday night, as well as new reforms that encourage EI users to take any job they can.

In a preview, a sobbing Shaun Majumder calls 411 moments after EI auditors leave his home.

“I have a bachelor of arts degree,” he says. “I don’t want to be a puppeteer. I don’t want to be a puppeteeeeeer!”

This Hour Has 22 Minutes airs on CBC TV Tuesday nights at 8:30 p.m. Catch more clips of the show on Facebook and Twitter.
