Macek three goals, Dreidger 22 saves as the Hitmen blank the Hurricanes

CALGARY - Brooks Macek scored three times and Chris Driedger made 22 saves as the Calgary Hitmen blanked the visiting Lethbridge Hurricanes 9-0 on Saturday in Western Hockey League play.

Cody Sylvester scored two goals for the Hitmen (43-20-5), who have won three games in a row, while Jake Virtanen and Victor Rask had a goal and two assists apiece.

Brady Brassart and Pavlo Padakin each had a goal and an assist to round out Calgary's offence.

Ty Rimmer made 33 saves in a losing cause for the Hurricanes (26-32-10).

Calgary went 3 for 4 on the power play while Lethbridge failed to score on six chances with the man advantage.
