Cyclist hit by car in Scarborough

Toronto police are investigating after a man in 60s was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Warden Avenue and Steeles Avenue East.

The accident happened at about 1 p.m., police say.

The man was riding a bicycle at the time, crossing Warden Avenue, when he was struck by a southbound vehicle.

Police say they're not sure if he was in the pedestrian crosswalk or on the road when he was struck.

The man has ben taken to Sunnybrook hospital with head injuries.
