Car hits 3 pedestrians in Montreal's Mile End

Three people are in serious but stable condition after they were struck by a car on Parc Avenue between Saint-Viateur and Bernard streets in Montreal’s Mile End neighbourhood on Saturday night.

Police say the pedestrians were struck by a car heading northbound on Parc as they crossed midway up the street without using a designated crosswalk.

A 44-year-old woman was the most seriously hurt but is now stable. Another woman, 64, and a man, 74, are also in stable condition.

Police say the driver did not see the three pedestrians before striking them. That driver, a man in his 40s, was treated for shock.
