Jackie Olson Dead: Surrey Murder Is City's 11th Of The Year

Relative Arrested In Surrey Woman's Slaying

A family member is in police custody after a woman was found dead in Surrey, B.C., the city's 11th homicide of the year.

Jackie Olson, 43, was discovered in an apartment complex in the 13000 block of 103A Avenue on Monday evening, said the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team news release on Tuesday.

Olson was pronounced dead at the scene, said police.

A relative was arrested early Tuesday morning in connection with the homicide, said Sgt. Jennifer Pound. Police did not disclose the relationship between the suspect and the victim.
