Pierre's picks: 5 don't-miss events in Montreal this weekend

Every Friday, CBC Montreal’s Homerun arts reporter Pierre Landry brings you the top five things to see and do in Montreal this weekend.

Here are his picks for March 22, 23 and 24.

1. After 30 years together, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds keep going on strong. They are at Metropolis tonight at 8 p.m., with opener Sharon Van Etten.

2. The words and music of Leonard Cohen are the inspiration behind Dance Me To The End On/Off Love, presented at the Centaur Theatre until April 14. This performance blends together live music, dance, theatrics and art.

3. Need a laugh in both official languages? The Comedy Nest presents So You Think You're Bilingualtonight at 10:30 p.m. Anglo and Franco comedians will do their routine in their second language.

4. Director Nadine Gomez has made a poignant documentary about Griffintown's Horse Palace. Phi Centre is screening it Saturday at 7 p.m.

5. Montreal folk troubadour Leif Vollebekk recently released the astonishing album, North Americana. He performs at Cabaret du Mile-End on Saturday night at 9 p.m.
