Prince fans in Vancouver will be the first to get a taste of, ahem, "Purple Rain" as the artist has announced a West Coast club tour that will play four shows in each city.
Prince will play his first four concerts at Vancouver's Vogue Theatre on April 15 and 16, with an early and a late show on each date, Pitchfork reported.
Ticket prices haven't yet been released but they're sure to go quickly, The Province reported.
Prince played a "majestic show" to a crowd of approximately 12,000 people at Rogers Arena the last time he visited Vancouver, The Vancouver Sun reported, and this time he'll be playing a venue with only 1,144 seats. During his last visit to Toronto, Prince played two nights at the 20,000-capacity Air Canada Centre.
With four shows going, that means only 4,576 people -- a few more if he brings the full 22-piece band he debuted at SXSW in Austin last week -- will get to see him play popular songs such as "When Doves Cry" or "Little Red Corvette."
