The Harper government has been hammered lately for economic action plans that some say just promote Tories and for green-lighting a controversial reality show that featured a border raid in British Columbia.
Naturally, “22 Minutes” has found a way to make light of both hot-button issues.

“We received a tip that some illegals were working at this construction site, so..”
A voice off-camera calls for a cut after realizing that something is missing.
In the next instant, a huge, economic action plan billboard can be seen in the background.
“We received a tip that some illegals were working at this.. Canada’s economic action plan-supported construction site,” he says, awkwardly.
