It seems the weather man was right.
Winter lashed out at the Rockies with icy blasts and piles and piles of snow.
While in many other parts of the country, where spring was welcomed with great fanfare earlier this month, little had changed in the Alberta mountain parks.
Spring arrived to the western regions of the province but in name only.
A compilation of March 2013 photos from Banff, Jasper and Waterton Lakes National Parks, quickly show that this year, the colours of spring in those areas only come in shade blue and white.
