If you've watched any substantial amount of hockey you'll realize that your favourite team or player has certain routines on the ice. A hotshot sniper will favour one spot on the ice to beat the goalie, a defenceman will enjoy plastering his opponents in one part of the boards, a heavy shooting power play wizard will choose the same spot to blast the puck

The hockey fans over at Reddit's r/hockey community decided that it'd be a great idea to layout some of these key zones on the ice with hilarious results.

The graphic makes reference to the mythical quirks of many of the NHL's current stars. Veteran goalie Martin Brodeur gets his own no-go zone, giant Bruins defenceman Zdeno Chara gets a "none shall pass" zone right near a stanchion (ouch!), Canucks fans might not be amused by the "Canucks power play no shooting zone" while Oilers fans will chuckle at the Nail Yakupov celebration zone.

The graphic, which was posted earlier this week, caught the eye of Red Wings captain Pavel Datsyuk (who's featured on the graphic naturally) and tweeted about it.

For nostalgia's sake here's the original graphic from the mid 1990s (ah the neutral zone trap)
