Ski hills in the Canadian Rockies are getting set to close in the coming weekends and soon it will be time to pack away the gear and get ready for summer.

According to onethesnow.ca, Castle Mountain and Kicking Horse close as early as today, while Sunshine Village will likely remain open the longest of Alberta hills, shutting down for the season May 20.

But before you decide to throw away your old gear, let us suggest some ways ways to reuse and repurpose your old skis and snowboards. Check out some fun projects in our slideshow below.
