OTTAWA - A byelection has been called in the federal riding of Labrador.
The vote will be held Monday, May 13.
Former MP Peter Penashue (penn-A-shuh-way) is seeking re-election after getting snared in a campaign spending controversy.
The former cabinet minister stepped down last month because his campaign received ineligible donations in the 2011 general election.
Prime Minister Stephen Harper has endorsed his bid for re-election.
Penashue is competing against Liberal Yvonne Jones and Harry Borlase of the NDP.
