Sharon Stone may have ignored her basic beauty instincts on this one.
The 55-year-old actress attended an amFAR gala in Sao Paolo, Brazil on April 5 to raise money for AIDS research, but raised a few eyebrows as well with her overwrought beauty look.
Opting for dramatic purple eye shadow and dark, wine-coloured lipstick, the usually fresh-faced actress showed her age behind the of heavy makeup.
On the plus side, Stone's figure was stunning on the red carpet in a plunging red gown, though her accessories -- which included oodles of purple and diamante jewelry and an emerald-encrusted clutch with tassels -- were also a bit over-the-top.
It seems that Stone can't get enough of the drama both on and off the red carpet lately: the actress has been on the back-end of legal troubles lately, with a former maid filing a lawsuit against the actress in March, claiming she was treated poorly and fired after she injured her back while working for Stone.
