CALGARY - A charge of manslaughter has been laid in a six-year-old case involving the death of a baby girl in Calgary.
Honey Jerry was just four months old when she was found in medical distress at a northwest-area home on Jan. 31, 2007.
The infant was taken to hospital where she died about five weeks later.
An autopsy determined Honey died from blunt force trauma.
Police now say that after an investigation and consultation with Crown prosecutors, they have arrested the baby's 27-year-old biological father.
Kinsey Jerry, who is from the Calgary area, was arrested Wednesday and has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance.
