Hundreds of patients moved into new Bridgepoint Hospital

Hundreds of staff and volunteers helped move Bridgepoint Hospital patients into a new state-of-the-art facility in Toronto today, as well as the related medical equipment from the old building next door.

More than 350 patients were moved Sunday from the old Bridgepoint Hospital to the new location off of St. Matthew's Road.

The move took just under 10 hours. Staff moved just a few patients at a time until everyone was brought over to the new location.

CBC got a sneak preview of the new hospital last month. It won't officially open until June.
