Man accused of kidnapping his girlfriend facing charge of attacking 2nd woman

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. - A 24-year-old man from Williams Lake, B.C., accused of assaulting and kidnapping his girlfriend is now facing new charges related to a second female victim.

Robert Fagg was arrested last week when his 26-year-old girlfriend was rescued from his transport truck after she secretly used her cellphone to text a friend to say she'd been kidnapped.

The friend called 911 and police were able to use GPS technology to track down the truck.

RCMP Const. Lesley Smith says when Fagg appeared in a Prince George courtroom Wednesday he faced a second set of charges involving another woman in incidents going back to last December.

He's accused of assault, forcible confinement and uttering threats in that case, which happened in Williams Lake.

Smith says Fagg is known to meet women through the online dating site Plenty of Fish. (CHNL)
