Tri-City Americans forward Justin Feser up for WHL player of the year honour

CALGARY - Tri-City Americans forward Justin Feser was named the Western Conference finalist for the Western Hockey League's player of the year award Thursday.

The 20-year-old Red Deer, Alta., native scored 44 goals and had 62 assists with a plus-20 rating this season. He played in all 72 regular-season games for the Americans.

Adam Lowry of the Swift Current Broncos was named Eastern Conference nominee on Wednesday. The award winner will be named at the 2013 WHL Awards luncheon in Calgary on May 1.

The conference finalists are determined through voting by general managers, coaches, broadcast and media representatives of all WHL teams.
