Would you wear your Crocs to go for a run? Well, now you can. Kinda.
Crosskix Footwear has launched a Kickstarter campaign that pre-sells running shoes which look a lot like the love-them-or-loathe-them comfy Crocs.
The sneakers are made from the same lightweight material which Crocs are known for: a foam composite material called ethylene vinyl acetate. Crosskix shoes also have similar features to Crocs including the daffodil-yellow colour and trademark holes.
Retailing for $150, the shoes are designed for running and cross-fit activity and weigh only 5.4 ounces.
"We believe there's definitely a void in this category for a more sportier, stylish, and functional shoe," said Eric Saligumba, the founder of Crosskix Footwear & Apparel Co. "Our goal was to design a shoe that everyone can proudly wear for multiple uses, and of course, look good while doing it."
But not everyone is impressed with the shoes.
Jezebel calls the sneakers "hideous" and that they "look like a useless Transformer, and appear to be so f***ing flimsy, they might as well be made of banana fruit roll-ups."
What do you think of the Crosskix shoe?
