Marie-France Bazzo is returning to the radio airwaves of Radio-Canada starting next season, in the wake of René Homier-Roy's retirement from C'est bien meilleur le matin.
Bazzo called the chance to host Radio-Canada’s morning show “an immense gift”. She had high praise for Homier-Roy, 73, commenting on the high bar he has set and describing him as "inspiring."
Homier-Roy has been at the helm of C’est bien meilleur le matin since 1998.
He told listeners this morning that he has had some difficult moments in his life recently which has given him a new perspective on what he wants to do next.
He said he would be back at Radio-Canada next year, but in a different capacity.
From 1995 to 2006, Bazzo was a fixture on the public broadcaster, hosting the popular program, Indicatif Présent. Since then, she has worked in the private sector, on television and in radio.
