A doomed love affair was fueling a B.C. teen’s mood when he was caught speeding along Highway 1 at 175 km/hour, RCMP say.
The 15-year-old had taken his parent’s car without permission to visit a girl he met on a school trip. The visit did not go well, the boy explained to the police officer who pulled him over near Bradner Road in Abbotsford at 2 a.m. on Saturday. He was trying to get the car back to the family home before it was noticed missing, the teen told the officer.

We’re guessing the subsequent meeting with his parents to explain why their luxury 2008 Cadillac CTS had been impounded, along with a bill for fines totaling $759, was no picnic, either.
