Raptors swingman Rudy Gay undergoes procedure to correct vision in left eye

TORONTO - Rudy Gay should have a clearer vision of the basket next season.

The Toronto Raptors swingman underwent a procedure Friday in Los Angeles to correct vision in his left eye, the club announced on its Twitter feed.

Gay, acquired from Memphis in the mid-season trade that sent Ed Davis to the Grizzlies and Jose Calderon to Detroit, averaged a team-high 19.5 points in his 33 games he played with the Raptors.

Toronto finished 34-48 and missed the playoffs for the fifth consecutive season.
