Beheaded, Gutted Sheep Carcass Found In Stony Plain Parking Lot

A beheaded and gutted sheep carcass found in an Stony Plain strip mall parking lot has prompted a police investigation.

Accoring to RCMP, a sheep carcass was spotted by a Liquor Barn employee on April 18 around 11 p.m.

The Edmonton Journal reports the woman called the store owner and said, "there's a dead sheep in front of the store and it has no head."

RCMP Cpl. Colette Zazulak told the Calgary Sun responding officers found a hide with hair attached - all the bones and meat had been cleaned out and the head was cut clean off.

“We’d like to talk to anyone who might have seen or heard anything,” she said.
