Count bigamy as one of the very few things that doesn't stay in Vegas.
When U.K. man Garry Floodgate tied the knot with Canadian Sheila Siebert at Circus Circus Hotel last June, that special day was commemorated with the usual battery of photos showing the lovestruck couple.
His wife back in England, however, was not amused, BBC News reports.
According to the news agency, 26-year-old Rachel Floodgate called police when wedding pictures of her husband and Siebert appeared on Facebook.
Garry Floodgate, 54, was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison, the Daily Mirror reports.
"The defendant formed a relationship with a Canadian national over the internet and the relationship became a serious one," prosecutor John Cavener, reportedly told a British court.
"He went over and met the lady and after a very short space of time they decided to get married. Unfortunately he was separated and going through divorce proceedings, but was not divorced."
Floodgate's lawyer, Dan Green said his client had difficulty understanding divorce paperwork as he was illiterate, according to The Northampton Chonicle & Echo.
For his part, Floodgate told the court, "I was just confused. I had lots of things going on in my head."
