Carey Mulligan Wears Sexy Red Dress At 'Great Gatsby' Premiere (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

Ever the style chameleon, Carrie Mulligan has gone from 1920s flapper chic to ethereal princess.

At Wednesday's "The Great Gatsby" premiere in New York City, the English actress showed us her inner Hollywood starlet wearing a sexy structured red Lanvin dress and black peep-toe sandal heels.

Although the 27-year-old newlywed (she married singer Marcus Mumford of the UK folk band Mumford & Sons last April) looks worlds away from her "Gastby" character Daisy Buchanan, who can be found dripping in jewels and cavorting in drop-waist dresses and feathered hair bands, Carey still looks glamorous in a more subtle way.

Wearing just her wedding band on one hand, a Tiffany ring on the other and two diamond earrings and her hair in a messy low bun, the English Rose has perfected the art of simple yet effective dressing (take for example the stunning Victoria Beckham tuxedo cape she wore last month.)

It's official: We're all on the We Love Carey Mulligan bandwagon now!
