Kate Middleton's Baby: Boy Or Girl? Prince Harry Claims To Know; Bets On Royal Baby Gender Take Off (REPORTS)

Prince Harry Spills The Royal Baby Gender Beans?!

You can always count on Prince Harry for a good slip-up from time to time (Hello, nude Vegas romp!), so it's not too surprising that he has reportedly spilled the beans on the gender of Brother William and Kate Middleton's soon-to be royal baby.

Yes, royal-philes, it's a boy! Or so says Harry, according to the UK Mirror's Sunday People, which claims that the younger bro has been so excited about becoming an uncle that he's been blabbing the gender of the baby to his friends.

A source close to the Prince told the Sunday People: “Harry has been telling everyone Wills and Kate are having a boy and how thrilled he is at the prospect of having a little nephew.

“He said the whole family were excited about it. Apparently Kate has always wanted a boy."

We're not betting the farm just yet on Harry's purported claims: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, have stayed mum on the topic, with no official statement on whether their bundle of joy will be a boy or a girl. Kate's due date is set for mid-July 2013.

But Catherine has been pretty adept at playing the gender guessing game -- she recently purchased a blue stroller, setting off a flood of speculation that the royal baby must be a boy. And earlier in her pregnancy, a reported almost slip-of-the-tongue led many to believe she was having a girl. So it's anybody's game really.

And the game is indeed afoot: Harry's recent reported reveal has fueled a rush of bets on the baby's gender, the Mirror reports, with more than 750 bets placed on a baby boy, George is the favoured name for a boy with odds of 10/1, with a 12/1 chance the baby will be named after Prince Charles, Will and Harry's father. But what about Phillip?

Kate meanwhile, is hoping for a boy, and has reportedly said she's found choosing baby names to be very difficult, but is keeping a running list. We have some suggestions, Kate! Check out our royal baby name picks in the slideshow above.
