Hugh Hefner's wife Crystal Harris better move over –there’s a new Playmate in the house!
Raquel Pomplun was named 2013's Playboy Playmate of the Year at the unveiling of the adult magazine's June issue at the Playboy Mansion on May 9 in Beverly Hills.
The gorgeous model, who was presented with the honour by Hugh Hefner himself, thanked her Facebook fans for the outpouring of support, saying "Thank you so much everyone for your #love and #support !!!! I'm officially the new #playmateoftheyear #2013"
So who is the 25-year-old stunner who captured Hefner's (and a few horny Playboy editors') hearts?
Pomplun has beauty AND brains: The doe-eyed brunette is a biochemistry major and classically trained ballerina. So not only can she spin your head around with science facts but she can spin around you in a tutu!
Raquel can also gloat about the fact that she's the first Mexican-American to grab the Playmate of the Year title. She told E! "I can't begin to describe how excited I am to receive this honor... Playboy has taught me a side of myself I didn't know before. It's been a year of wonderful surprises!"
The storied magazine certainly did teach Pomplun a lot about herself, such as how to brave a photo shoot while battling a 103 degree fever. Pomplun said of the Playboy photos, "Honestly, I'm thinking I'm so grateful that they look OK because I had a fever in these pictures.. I rocked it!"
Raquel should also be proud that her Playboy issue will be one of many hidden under men's (and boys') mattresses.
