RCMP's Major Crime Unit seeks clues in targeted shooting at a Coquitlam home

VANCOUVER - The RCMP's Major Crime Unit spent Saturday at the scene of a backyard shooting in Coquitlam in which a man was shot in the neck.

Police say the incident happened Friday evening and investigators believe it was not a random act.

Staff Sgt. Rob Lemon says a call was placed to 911 after the incident and the man was taken to a nearby hospital but has since been released.

Lemon says the wounded man is well known to police.
