Who says Sundays are slow news days?

News that Nigel Wright had quit as Prime Minister Stephen Harper's chief of staff hit Twitter early Sunday morning and took off like a shot. Wright tendered his resignation following the revelation that he cut a $90,000 personal cheque to Mike Duffy to help the to embattled senator cover his expenses.

Duffy and Pamela Wallin have both resigned from Conservative caucus over questions about their expenses and are currently sitting as independents.
